About Us
Neddy Teddy’s Day Nursery was founded and opened in 2005 by Brenda and Myles Carville.
There were originally 4 rooms and 65 children but with the reputation for high quality care quickly established and a large demand for places Brenda realised the need to expand and so Nedz Too was created in 2010 for pre-school and after school age children. These nurseries can both be found in the busy Newtownabbey area, a perfect location for parents working in Belfast to drop off their children or alternatively close to the motorway to travel further afield.
In 2014 Brenda was given the opportunity to set up a further nursery in the village of Parkgate, close to Templepatrick. The stunning, natural surroundings of this nursery offer the children the perfect opportunity to get close to nature on a daily basis.

Neddy Teddy’s Day Nursery is registered with the Northern Health and Social Care Trust and is a member of Early Years. All our staff are vetted by social services and are chosen not only for their qualifications but also for their skills and personality and are trained to a very high standard. Many of our staff have been with us for over 10 years which shows employee satisfaction but more importantly brings experience and continuity of care to the children.
Parents are encouraged to become involved in every stage of their child’s development while at nursery. We recognise the importance of the partnership with parents and strive to build and maintain a sound and effective relationship with each parent.
All of the rooms in each nursery are equipped with age appropriate play activities. There are also outdoor play areas in all nurseries with a wide range of outdoor play equipment which combined with the children’s imagination provides hours of endless fun. Activities are planned with an emphasis on learning through fun and play, whilst being responsive to children’s enthusiasm and interests and flexible enough to meet children’s individual needs.
